His Honor Judge Ian Dearden. You may have heard of this folk musician, civil libertarian champion who is now a District Judge in Queensland.
His Honor had been an executive member of the Queensland Council for Civil Liberties - an Australian version of the ACLU for 20 years and the president for 11.
He recently stated:
""There is no place in our community for a vigilante approach"
Judge Dearden despises "vigilantes" who cowardly take the law into their own hands! Recently such a coward assaulted a "sex offender" in Queensland and will now stand before a Judge who despises vigilantism. The coward faces "life" in prison for brutally beating up a convicted sex offender. I bet this viggie coward will cry in court and beg His Honor not to send him to prison! Vigilantes CRY like a baby when they get caught:) Hey dude, suck it up and face your punishment like a big boy!
